YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - While President Trump is planning more support rallies, a Mahoning Valley native is helping to organize national rallies demanding action on possible Russia collusion involving the U.S. election, the administration, and Trump associates.

Recent marches for women, science and the environment have attracted hundreds of thousands of people.

Now, what is being billed as a "March for Truth" this weekend is calling for an urgent and independent investigation of possible Russia interference in the U.S. election. One of the key organizers is Canfield native and YSU political science graduate, Jordan Uhl.

"The March for Truth is important because we are calling for an independent commission separate from a special prosecutor. Ultimately it's important to remember the special prosecutor can be fired. We have four points that we are asking for;  an independent commission, Trump to release his tax returns, for all information related to this issue to be released to the public as soon as possible,  and if there were crimes committed we hope for a swift and just fair prosecution," Uhl said.

According to Uhl, this is not about impeachment, but he says it's something that should be non-partisan.

"Everyone on all sides should support this issue because it is core to what it means to be an American with a fair justice system," said Uhl.
Political analyst Doctor Bill Binning says all the Trump negativity is something the Republican leadership will be watching.

"Of whether or not Trump is going to become a liability to Republicans, and if he is viewed as such, how are they going to respond to him," Binning said.

Uhl says with 140 cities committed to the March for Truth, it should send a strong message.  "That a majority of Americans do care about this process, that they do want a fair investigation, and they do want answers,".

The March for Truth is scheduled for Saturday, June 3, 2017.
