The family of Melissa Barto is grateful for the work by Pennsylvania State Police after three arrests were made in connection with her murder.

Lisa Barto said, "I just thank everyone again. Everyone in this town has been so supportive. It's time now to take care of her daughter and take care of all we have to do. It's just so much."

PSP confirmed human remains found in a wooded area by a farmer Monday evening along Old Pulaski Road in Neshanock Township is their daughter.

The family reported Barto missing after the 26-year-old mom, didn't show up for her daughter's kindergarten graduation on Friday.

State Police believe Barto's boyfriend killed her Thursday.

Twenty-one-year-old Ishemer Ramsey, a Marine Reservist has been charged with criminal homicide and tampering with evidence.

Lieutenant Eric Hermick said, "It was a horrific scene, her body had been burned. We believe she was shot and killed in his vehicle and he had helped to conceal the body at a separate location, then to retrieve her body, and dump and burn it in a field near New Castle. No parent should have to bury their child."

A tip about Ramsey and his friend James Howard George buying rubber gloves, a tarp, and rope at Walmart led to the two suspects.

George is charged with evidence tampering, abuse of a corpse, and obstruction of justice.

A third man Joshua Bowser is also charged in connection with obstruction of justice and hindering apprehension. Any people who intentionally misled police may also be charged.

Lt. Hermick emphasized, "We have collected a significant amount of evidence."  During a traffic stop in Butler Township police found a passenger seat was missing, a bottle of bleach, and a 45 caliber gun in Ramsey's car. Police say the motive may be jealousy.
