EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio - As a result of a recently adopted community campaign called "See Something Say Something" East Liverpool police made at least two drug arrests on Wednesday morning.
Various tips from the community helped in the arrest of Zachary Cavalcanti, of Warren, and Tyrone Crafter Junior, of Youngstown, according to Police Chief, John Lane.
Police say the two were arrested during a traffic stop at Sixth Street and Broadway.
“They are still working on the report, the drug appears to be heroin, but needs to be tested,” said Chief Lane.
Cavalcanti is charged with obstruction for now because police say he tried to hide the alleged drugs.
Crafter is charged with possession of marijuana.
More charges are pending once the test results come in, according to Lane.
