Exclusive Tour of new luxury living in downtown Warren

Posted: Updated:
WARREN, Ohio -

A downtown Warren developer is preparing to list newly remodeled living spaces along courthouse square on the market.

"We're looking for the wow factor," Mark Marvin said, president of Downtown Development Group.

21 News documented the construction phase and this week, Marvin provided an exclusive tour of the renovations at the Mahoning Building on the coroner of Mahoning Avenue and Market Street.

It's upscale living that delivers sleek modern designs and breathtaking views.

"When you open that door on the one-bedroom, as soon as you open it, the first thing you see is Courthouse Square, you see the river, you get to look out and see all of this," he said.

This is one of four condos Marvin's Downtown Development Group is transforming inside the Mahoning Building.

He plans to list his one bedroom unit on the 5th floor at $125,000 and a two bedroom, 1.5 bath condo on the same level at $175,000.

Each unit offers kitchens and bathrooms new appliances and granite or marble counter tops.

Marvin has acquired seven buildings around Warren's courthouse square. He says he's already invested roughly $1.2 million, but expects to spend up to $5 million on changing the overall landscape of downtown Warren.

"We're going to expand what we're doing beyond just the condos," Marvin said.

"We feel we have to bring the people here first and then we'll bring the amenities along with it, the grocery stores and the other stores and the places to shop, the places to eat, the places to drink."

Marvin says Modern Methods Brewing Company is coming soon to downtown and he's working on acquiring another property for a future winery.

Construction is currently underway on his Mahoning Building 7th floor penthouse and the next phase of condos at the 124 Park Avenue building.

The 124 Park Avenue building and a building next door will be transformed into multiple condo units, including one townhouse in the back of the building.

All are situated within walking distance of Nova Coffee Company.

"With the brewery coming in, I think there's going to be a lot of the younger generation, but for the most part, we just want to see everybody down here," Logan Reinard said, co-owner of Nova Coffee Company in Warren.
