Coroner: Warren woman found shot in car committed suicide

Posted: Updated:
WARREN, Ohio -

Investigators say a woman who was found shot along with two men in a car in Warren last week took her own life.

The Trumbull County Coroner tells 21 News that Brandi Joseph of Warren committed suicide by shooting herself in the head and the death of 24-year-old Devonte West was a homicide due to multiple gunshot wounds.

West and Joseph were in a car along with 18-year-old Ju'Wantae Harbin that ran off the road at Southern Boulevard and Solar Street and struck the side of a house Thursday night.

Warren police told 21 News earlier that it was apparent that only two of the victims had been murdered.

The Mahoning County Coroner has yet to make a ruling on Harbin's death.

Joseph and West died at the scene of the crash.

Harbin, who was a defensive end for the Warren Harding football team this past season, died at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.
