Lowellville mayor seeks help restoring bicycle trail

Posted: Updated:
LOWELLVILLE, Ohio -

Lowellville Mayor James Iuduciani is asking several towns across the Valley to help repair a popular bike trail.

The Stavich Bike Trail Foundation has a yearly license renewal with First Energy.

However, the fund has dwindled to $13,000.

The village's section requires a half-million dollars in repairs to bring the trail up to Mill Creek MetroPark specifications.

New funding from the Ohio Department of Transportation, called TAP funds, would create a new section from Struthers, through Campbell and into Youngstown into the park system.
