NILES, Ohio -

Ohio State State Troopers say charges are pending after a North Jackson teenager was killed and three other people were hospitalized after a Jeep crashed in the City of Niles early Sunday.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says Dyllin Conners, 18, of Austintown was driving the Jeep Cherokee just before 1 am when it went out of control after crossing railroad tracks along Belmont Avenue.

The Jeep went off the road and overturned, throwing 19-year-old Thomas Bowers of North Jackson from the vehicle. Bowers was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three other passengers were not wearing seatbelts and were taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown with serious injuries. Their identities have not been released pending notification of family members.

A fifth passenger, James Geidner, 19, of Youngstown, was wearing a seatbelt. He was treated by EMTs and did not need to go to the hospital.
