Hubbard home destroyed in early morning fire

HUBBARD, Ohio -

A Hubbard home was destroyed after an early morning fire Sunday.

The incident happened on Thomas Hubbard Road around 12:20 a.m. at a residence in the woods.

Several agencies including Hubbard, Brookfield, Liberty and the air base worked to put out the fire, which had fully engulfed the house by the time crews arrived.

Fire officials said two people escaped the home and were not injured.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.

It's not known if the Red Cross is assisting.
