Canfield school takes a different approach to career day

Posted: Updated:

It was a hands-on career fair at Hilltop Elementary Friday Afternoon.

Students were able to go from station to station and learn from many different careers in the community.

Vehicles from the military, first responders, and even from local trucking companies were all on display for the students to learn and have fun at the same time.

"From their age group sitting there and just listening, their attention span is slim to none and so when you're having them engaged in conversation, when they're doing hands-on activity, it's perfect and they're able to listen and able to learn," says Chairperson Sara Michaliszyn.

Hilltop Elementary adds that this is the third year they have had the hands-on career day outside and continues to draw students attention each year.
