Posted: Updated:
WARREN, Ohio -

The American Red Cross is helping a family chased out of their Warren home after a fire broke out early Monday.

Firefighters say a woman woke up to the smell of smoke in her family's home on the 1000 block of Woodland Street NE at around 2:30 a.m.

She and other family members escaped safely.

Although fire heavily damaged the home, firefighters believe the house can still be salvaged.

Investigators are still looking for the cause of the fire.
