EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio -

Six-year-old Elijah Stewart of East Liverpool is having a perfect season on the golf course.

He's won all eight tournaments he's been in and will compete in the U.S. Kids World Championships next month at Pinehurst in North Carolina.

"I thought it would be fun because it looked fun on TV," said the shy six-year-old, who's been swinging a club for two years.

His father, Josh, said, "Right out of the box, he picks it up and gives me a really nice swing and I thought is it something we can reproduce and it was."

Elijah has won championships at the Kids Golf Spring Tour and the Ohio State Invitational.

'He's really exceeded our expectations," said Josh. "And we're just having a lot of fun."

"I feel kind of nervous and I'm really excited to play at Pinehurst, " said Elijah, adding its a beautiful course.

After competition in North Carolina, Elihaj is competing in the Akron Sub Regional Drive, Chip and Putt contest.
