Austintown investigators are estimating the loss at $155,00 after a fire that destroyed a garage and three vintage cars inside.

Smoke could be seen for miles away Thursday night when flames broke out in a private garage on Rutland Avenue.

Using extra caution because of propane stored there, firefighters put out the flames, but not before the garage and four vehicles inside were destroyed.

In addition to a pickup truck in the garage, the fire also totaled a 1967 Oldsmobile 442, a 1978 Corvette, and a 1934 Ford Coupe.

The owner of the garage also stored his tools there.

Fire officials place the value of the damage to the garage at $30,000. The loss to the contents is $125,000.

The nearby home was also damaged by the heat.

No one was injured.

Firefighters shut down the road while they battled the blaze.

Investigators are still looking for the cause of the fire.
