MCESC names new superintendent

The Mahoning County Educational Service Center has hired a new superintendent. 

Superintendent Traci Hostetler has more than 20 years of experience in public education and was most recently the Superintendent of East Palestine City Schools. 

According to a press release by the Center, Hostetler also served as the Director of Teaching and Learning for the Massillon City School District and Middle School Principal at the Canfield Local School District.

MCESC provides educational services for more than 46,000 students in school districts in Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana, Portage and Geauga Counties.

David Engler, President of the Governing Board of MCESC says he is thrilled to add Hostetler to the team.

Engler says, "Traci Hostetler is a star in education, and the board is excited to bring her aboard to be the face of public education in the Mahoning Valley."

Hostetler's contract as MCESC Superintendent begins on August 1.
