Newton Falls family in fear after Confederate flag put in their yard
However, one family said they were sent a Confederate flag saying they're not welcome to the neighborhood.

NEWTON FALLS, Ohio - Flags, flowers, and benches paint a picture of a welcoming Newton Falls with a population of thousands.
However, one family said they were sent a Confederate flag saying they're not welcome to the neighborhood.
There was an hourglass on the flag, which the family took as a threat that their "time may be up."
"That said 'White N-word on it with an hourglass on it," said Jamie Brooks. "My family is mixed, different races and it's a hate crime. It's disgusting. We are not in the 1940s or 50s anymore, it's 2018.
The father and mother of the one-year-old son moved about one month ago to Newton Drive.
The mother of the baby told 21 News she walked outside to go to work Thursday and found the Confederate flag in their yard.
They don't believe it was the neighbor down the street who has a half American and half Confederate flag since they went to offer support right after the incident.
Neighbors said that the whole situation is ridiculous and they want the family left in peace.
Police Chief Gene Fixler says he is taking this matter seriously and says the Flag will be sent out for DNA testing and adds he will call in the FBI if needed for a crime he considers ethnic intimidation.
The family hoping the community comes together to support he and his wife who just want to live and work in peace.
"This is very serious. How many incidents are reported nowadays of crimes like this? Racism of all place, Newton Falls. It's disgusting, it's unacceptable," said Brooks.
