To take some of the burdens off of families who have to buy school supplies, for the fourth year in a row, the law firm Kisling, Nestico & Redick (KNR) is giving away free backpacks at their offices in Toledo, Youngstown, Columbus, and Akron.
According to a press release sent out by the law firm, parents who are interested in receiving a backpack should visit KNR's Facebook page, find the School Supply Giveaway Post between August 6 through August 10, share the post and enter in the comments which KNR office (Akron, Columbus, Toledo, or Youngstown) is closest.
The winners will be announced daily and those who are announced can pick up backpacks on August 13 or 14 between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Rob Nestico, a managing partner of KNR, said, in a press release, "The cost of school supplies, especially for families with more than one child, can be astronomical. Our goal is to help alleviate a little bit of stress for families as well as teachers, who oftentimes use their own money to purchase supplies for their classrooms and students."
In Youngstown, KNR has 25 backpacks filled with school supplies, such as pencils, pens, paper, notebooks, and markers.
KNR purchased the school supplies based on local elementary school supply lists and the backpacks were generously donated by W.B. Mason.
Each filled backpack is valued at approximately $54.
