Father of deceased Austintown infant arrested for second time in one week
The father of a child who died earlier this week has been arrested, once again, on charges relating to a fight the night after the baby's death.

WARREN, Ohio - The father of a child who died earlier this week has been arrested, once again, on charges relating to a fight the night after the baby's death.
The U.S. Marshals arrested 24-year-old Christian Sumpter Friday afternoon on charges of felonious assault.
The charges, according to Austintown Police, stem from a fight that broke out at Sumpter's residence on N. Roanoke Avenue on Tuesday.
According to a police report, a victim, claiming to be the ex-boyfriend of Sumpter's girlfriend, was attacked while he was trying to help her move out of the apartment she shared with Sumpter.
Police say the victim suffered a broken collar-bone and cuts to both of his knees.
One charge of felonious assault was filed against Sumpter on Thursday, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Friday's arrest is the second of the week after Sumpter was booked into jail on Sunday on a warrant for a disorderly conduct charge out of Trumbull County.
Sumpter has been identified as the father of an infant who died on Sunday afternoon.
Austintown Township firefighters were called to the home on North Roanoke Avenue on Sunday afternoon where they found the infant still conscious and breathing.
According to dispatchers, the 911 caller reported that the infant had fallen and hit her head.
When first responders arrived, police were called to the home due to the possibility that the baby was dropped on purpose.
The infant was taken to Akron Children's Hospital in Boardman, then flown by medical helicopter to the main Akron Children's Hospital in Akron where she was pronounced dead.
On Wednesday, the Summit County Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide.
No charges have been filed in the infant's death, however, police say the incident is still under investigation.
Officials tell 21 News the evidence could be forwarded to a Mahoning County Grand Jury for consideration as early as next week.
