The longstanding community rivalry between Campbell and Struthers football is coming to an end.

The Red Devils and Wildcats are set to face off on the gridiron for the last time on Friday, October 5.

In honor of their final meeting, the two communities have come together and are selling commemorative t-Shirts designed by Soup City Designs.

The shirts are receiving a lot of interest and not just from people living in the Valley.

"We've been getting calls from people all over the United States," Nick Galantis, the owner of Soup City Designs and a Campbell grad from the class of '87, said. "We've had people contacting us from California, Florida, all over the place, saying I want a shirt, I want a shirt, I want a shirt."

Galantis said he still remembers games the rivals played when he was in school, and he is sad to see the rivalry come to an end.

"To see this game go is really, for those who know it as a rivalry, people like myself from the 80s and before who knew the Campbell Struthers rivalry, it's big," Galantis said.

The two communities might be bitter rivals on the field, but off the field, there do not seem to be any hard feelings.

"Campbell and Struthers, we're sister cities. It's just like a brother and sister, you might fight until it's all over but you love each other no matter what," Galantis continued.

The shirts are available at Soup City designs, Campbell Schools and Struthers Schools.

The shirts are $15 a piece ($17 for 2x and above) and a portion of the money from the sales will go back to the schools.
