HERMITAGE, Pa. - Authorities are not releasing the name of a Hermitage School teacher being investigated for possible inappropriate activity with a female student.

Police Chief Eric Jewell tells 21News that his department is conducting interviews about the alleged incident that would have started in the last school year.

Jewell confirmed to 21 News that the investigation involves a male teacher and a female student. He did not reveal the age of the student.

“Any teacher-child issue or corruption is taken seriously,” said Jewell.

No one has been arrested, and no charges have been filed.
