Red Cross to help victims of Liberty apartment fire

LIBERTY TWP, Ohio -

The Red Cross has been asked to help people after they were forced out of their Liberty Township apartment on Friday.

Someone called 9-1-1 after spotting smoke pouring from the back of the Deville Apartments on the 500 block of Gypsy Lane at around 8:30 am.

Firefighters from surrounding communities were called at a crew from the Liberty Fire Department worked to put out the flames.

The Red Cross was called to help residents who may need help finding clothing and shelter.

An ambulance was called to the scene of the fire, but it isn't known if anyone was injured.
