YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A portion of the Youngstown Police Department is being fumigated after a bed bug was found in the building.
According to the police department, a bed bug was spotted on the fourth floor Friday afternoon. The floor was shut down for the rest of the afternoon so it could be cleaned and fumigated or exterminated.
According to the department, all of the police cruisers that responded to the scene are being cleaned as well.
Police say none of the department's patrol operations are impacted by the extermination efforts.
Lt. Brian Butler said that the "coroner told us that a recent deceased person that we had been in contact with had the infestation."
