$200,000 grant to connect Canfield park to bike trail

CANFIELD TWP., Ohio -

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources has approved nearly $200 thousand to connect the Canfield Township Community Park to the Mill Creek Metroparks Bikeway.

The money is among $7 million in Clean Ohio Trails Fund grants offered to improve outdoor recreational opportunities in Ohio.

The money will help fund a $261,000 project to establish the Robert H. Neff Memorial Bike Trail, connecting the trail to the park.

The Neff Land Development Company and the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center are donating easements to the township for the project.
