YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -

Four Youngstown men are accused of stealing a sidewalk from a South Side neighborhood.

Someone called 9-1-1 late Wednesday morning to report that some men were taking the sidewalk slabs along the 600 block of Ridge Avenue.

After officers found parts of the sidewalk missing, a neighbor told them that a truck being used by the suspects had been spotted on West Woodland Avenue.

Police caught up with the truck at Parkwood and Oakhill Avenues.

The pickup truck was hauling a trailer containing six flagstone slabs, according to police.

Theft charges have been filed against Thomas Clark, 36-year-old Andre Eggleston, 29-year-old Levar Riley, and 23-year-old D'Vaille Williams.

They were issued a summons to appear in court.
