LORDSTOWN, Ohio - UPDATE: An earlier version of this story reported that members of the community could attend the vigil. A spokesperson for GM says the vigil is for employees only.

Workers from the sole remaining shift at the General Motors Lordstown plant plan to pray for the future of the plant.

A vigil has been scheduled for Thursday afternoon outside of the Lordstown General Motors Plant.

Workers plan to gather near the flagpole along Hallock Young Road at 3:15 p.m. for a "Vigil of Hope".

In addition, community members are beings asked to show support for the Drive it Home campaign in other ways.

A press release from the campaign asks the community to light a candle in prayer for the Lordstown employees.

Community members can also show their support on social media by using a new profile frame on their Facebook page to show their support for the men and women who will be affected by the 'non-allocated' status of the plant.

That frame can be found on the Drive it Home Ohio Facebook page.
