Lowellville Rod and Gun treasurer charged with theft

Posted: Updated:

The treasurer of the Lowellville Rod and Gun Club has been charged with six counts of theft.

The charges were filed in Struthers Municipal Court this week against 41-year-old Lisa M. Doyle of North Lima following an investigation into the reported theft of $70,000 from the club.

Poland Township Detectives were contacted by the President of the club who reported the money had been taken sometime between early September and mid-December, according to a police report.

Court records show the dates of the alleged crimes were October 15, October 15, and November 2, 2018.

Those same records do not indicate if Doyle is accused of taking all of the $70,000 that was reported missing.

Each of the theft charges is a fourth-degree felony.

It is unknown when Doyle will appear in court to answer the charges.

According to its website, the Lowellville Rod & Gun Club on 100 acres along Quarry Road is among one of the oldest sportsman clubs in Ohio.
