Boardman man accused of stealing US Marshals equipment
A Boardman man was arrested after police say he stole a US Marshals bulletproof vest and ammunition back in November.

BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio - A Boardman man was arrested after police say he stole a US Marshals bulletproof vest back in November.
Eighteen-year-old Nicholas Scharringhausen allegedly stole the US Marshals vest was in possession of a gun also.
Police say that Scharringhausen stole the equipment out of a vehicle that belonged to US Marshals.
According to the police report, a friend of Scharringhausen told her father that Scharringhausen had stolen US Marshals equipment and hid it in a duffle bag in her house.
Bordman police arrested Scharringhausen at his Indianola Road home on a felony theft arrest warrant. Scharringhausen was also arrested at Boardman Court and charged with having weapons while under disability.
Police say that the gun was not US Marshal's property and they do not know whose gun it was, but Scharringhausen's fingerprints were on the gun.
After Scharringausen was arraigned at the Boardman County Court his bond was set at $15,000 by Judge Hause. Scharringausen was transported to the Mahoning County Jail after he was booked.
The equipment was returned to the US Marshals.
