Hubbard police release pic of Taco Bell robbery suspect

HUBBARD, Ohio -

Hubbard City Police have released a surveillance image of the person suspected of robbing the Taco Bell restaurant Tuesday morning.

It's difficult to see the suspect's face, but police hope that someone can identify him by the grey hooded sweatshirt and other clothing the person in the picture is wearing.

The surveillance image is from a nearby Speedway gas station that the suspect is believed to have stopped by before the Taco Bell hold up.

A caller told dispatchers that a man wearing a mask and carrying a gun grabbed an employee at the Taco Bell West Liberty Street business at around 7 am.

After the robber said he wanted cash stuffed into a backpack, he ran out the back door.

Hubbard Police searched the area but have made no arrests.

Hubbard schools, which are across the street from the Taco Bell, were placed on a precautionary "soft" lockdown.

Anyone with information about the suspect or robbery can contact the Hubbard Police Department at 330-534-8153.
