BERLIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio - The Berlin Township Fire Department has announced the arrival of its new custom-made fire truck, Engine 31.

According to Fire Chief Rick Peppel the $600,000 engine is equipped to respond to structure fires and multiple types of rescues.

He said the engine that was made in Columbus took thirteen months to design and build.

The chief also said the truck was paid for by last year's levy and will replace a 24-year-old engine.

The fire department expects Engine 31 to be ready for service on Thursday.
