AUSTINTOWN TWP., Ohio - A Boardman man is behind bars after being accused in connection to the robbery of a Country Fair in Austintown Township.

Police say 22-year-old Brandon Gaetano is facing one charge of aggravated robbery for an incident at the convenience store on Niles-Canfield Road in January.

Officers say they were called out on January 22nd after a suspect brandished a handgun inside the store, yelled at employees, and took approximately $350 in cash.

Another man, 23-year-old Michael Cole, was indicted Thursday on charges that he was the robber.

Police say surveillance video showed that Cole was wearing gloves and refused to touch anything while he was inside the store.

According to a report, the suspect ran out of the store on foot.

However, officers say they were able to track footprints through the nearby woods. Surveillance video from nearby stores reportedly captured a car driving near that area, before driving away.

Cole was booked into jail on Valentine's Day, after being arrested.

In all, he is charged in connection to a string of half a dozen robberies.

Approximately one week after Cole's arrest, a warrant was issued for Gaetano's arrest.

He was finally booked into the Mahoning County Jail on Thursday.

A police report does not clarify Gaetano's alleged connection with the crime. However, attorneys for Gaetano say they stem from allegations that Gaetano may have aided Cole in getting away from the scene.
