Youngstown native Chuck Kountz is known for his former role on Discovery Channel's "Fat N' Furious: Rolling Thunder," but he's now inspiring people to shed the pounds and get healthy.

After "Fat N' Furious" was canceled Kountz moved with his family to Hawaii. At the time he weighed 345 pounds.

"I made fun of myself and made people laugh, and that's fine. I'm a joy bringer. I love making people laugh and all that, but inside I was in torment," said Kountz. "There were so many things I wanted to do, and I couldn't do them because of my weight. So, I made a decision that I had to do something. I had to do something drastic."

For him, the decision was weight loss surgery.

"Sometimes people think weight loss surgery is cheating, no," said Kountz.

About nine months later, he's active, has lost 140 pounds, and keeps a log of what he eats and drinks.

"Once you've been living this life for a while, it's doable; it really is because you've conditioned yourself. You've reprogrammed yourself," said Kountz.

His journey though is far from over. He still wants to lose 40 to 50 more pounds.

"The hard part is right now for me, because the surgery has done pretty much what it can do, on a physical basis, and now it's up to me to lose that last 40-50 lbs," said Kountz.

Along his way, he hopes to inspire others and plans to play off his success with "Fat N' Furious," to launch Fit N' Furious on his YouTube Channel.

"The one letter to change was the "A" to "I," and I had to make the conscious decision to change my life," said Kountz.

Fit N' Furious is expected to launch in about a month.
