Youngstown man sentenced for beating 6-year-old

Posted: Updated:
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -

A Youngstown man with a history of domestic violence arrests is being sent to prison for beating a six-year-old child.

Mahoning County Common Please Judge John Durkin on Thursday handed down a three-year sentence to 29-year-old Justin Clark.

Clark was arrested by U.S. Marshals last march after a grand jury indicted him on on count of domestic violence and three counts of endangering children for the beating of a six-year-old child.

Court records show that Clark was convicted in January on one count of child endangering and one count of domestic violence.

According to the indictment, Clark previously pleaded guilty to two separate cases of domestic violence, stemming from criminal charges filed in 2015.
