WARREN, Ohio - A clerk at a Warren drug store tells police that he scuffled with a man suspected of stealing a tooth whitening product.
According to a police report, an employee working at the Rite Aid store on Youngstown Road SE Tuesday afternoon spotted a man in his sixties put two packages of Crest Whitestrips in a backpack before walking toward the exit.
The clerk says he confronted the suspected shoplifter and the two began to struggle.
The report states that the clerk was shoved out of the way and the suspect left the store.
The employee, who wasn't injured, told police that the white strips were packed in security boxes and are worth $150.
