MIAMI -

Valley congressman and Niles native Tim Ryan has made the first Democratic Party debate according to the organization's Facebook page.

To qualify for the debate, candidates needed to have at least 1% support in three qualifying polls or have 65,000 donors.

Tim Ryan qualified through polling numbers according to NBC News.

Ryan will appear on the first night, alongside some big name candidates such as Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker and Beto O'Rourke, but not frontrunner Joe Biden or Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, who still carries significant support stemming from his 2016 candidacy.

The Democratic National Committee tweeted on Thursday the last names of the candidates, including Ryan.

Other candidates making the cut include:

Sen. Michael Bennet of Colorado

Former Vice President Joe Biden

Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey

Mayor Pete Buttigieg of South Bend, Indiana
