Hundreds turn out to remember teen killed in Warren ATV accident

Posted: Updated:
WARREN, Ohio -

Hundreds turned out to remember a 17-year-old who passed away after an ATV accident in Warren Friday night.

People gathered on Parkwood Drive to honor Jeremiah Barnes Sunday afternoon with a walk.

His family, friends and the community remembered him for his sense of humor and kindness, among other positive attributes.

"Nobody was a stranger. He was willing to help anybody that he could in any way that he could," said his mother, Alethea Barnes.

A friend added he was a bright person who had a kind heart and always knew how to make people smile.

Jeremiah was a student at Warren G. Harding, and on Sunday, the school also hosted grief counselors for students mourning.

He was involved in many extracurricular activities there, including choir and basketball.
