Voters in Pennsylvania will be using paper ballots during the 2020 election.

For 13 years the state has used a direct electronic voting system but are changing their process to paper ballots.

The paper ballots will be used this November and are expected to have a minimal impact on voters.

"They will simply hand mark a paper ballot. Fill in the ovals like the old SAT tests or things of that nature, then feed the paper ballot into an electronic scanner at the precinct," said Jeff Greenburg, Mercer County Director of Elections.

The state of Pennsylvania ordered counties to replace the paperless system by April 2020 in time for the 2020 Presidential election.
