Coroner announces cause of death for Shenango Township shooting victim

SHENANGO TOWNSHIP, Lawrence Co., Pa. -

The Lawerence County Coroner has announced the cause of death of a shooting victim from Shenango Township early Wednesday morning. 

According to the coroner, the cause of 23-year-old Brian Eisenhuth's death was a gunshot wound to the chest. 

Eisenhuth and 24-year-old Ronald Lantz, Jr. were shot early Wednesday in Lawerence County. 

Lantz, Jr. was injured and taken to the hospital. Authorities have not released his condition or details on the circumstances surrounding the shootings.

The incident happened around 1 a.m. at a home on Bryson-Mill Road in Shenango Township.

Police tell 21 News that Eisenhuth was found dead inside the home.

It was initially called in as an active shooter situation.

The Pennsylvania State Police Forensic Unit is investigating.
