Fallen tree cuts power, closes part of Shields Road in Canfield

Posted: Updated:
CANFIELD, Ohio -

A portion of Shields Road was shut down in Canfield Monday morning after a tree fell across the road.

First responders were on the scene just before noon in the area between Tippecanoe Road and Dorado Beach Drive.

Some power lines were also pulled down, cutting power to around 200 homes in Canfield.

A FirstEnergy crew was working to make repairs.

The road will open again after those repairs are completed.
