Board rules against Randy Law's bid for Warren mayor

Posted: Updated:
TRUMBULL COUNTY, OH -

The Trumbull County Board of Elections has ruled against Randy Law's bid for mayor.

Law served as the former Trumbull County Republican Party Chairman and wanted to run as an independent for Warren mayor.

The decision came after the elections board held a hearing to decide whether he properly disaffiliated himself from the party.

Law told 21 News he plans to appeal to the Ohio Supreme Court where he expects an expedited decision in his favor and will get on the ballot.

He calls the board's decision "purely political."
