Window World partners with veteran group to form careers for heroes

Posted: Updated:
AKRON, Ohio -

Window World is sponsoring the All Veterans Group to help veterans find a career with Window World.

The initiative is called careers for heroes and will help veterans find a career that matches their skill set.

According to the company's new website, veterans will need to share their resume, fill out some information about their military background and the website will help veterans get paired up with relevant opportunities based on their military and civilian experiences.

For more information on the new partnership visit careersforheroes.org

On Monday morning, Window World's chairman and CEO, Tammy Whitworth, parachuted out of the airplane with the All Veteran Group's President, Mike Elliot, who is a Sgt. 1st Class and a retired United States Army Golden Knight to raise awareness for their new careers for heroes initiative.

The tandem parachuted into the Akron International Airport together on Tuesday morning.

The video of their skydiving adventures can be seen below:

Window World also partnered with the Military Makeover Operation Career Show. The show will air on the Lifetime Network this Fall and Window World's recent skydiving adventure will be featured on one of the show's tv segments.

Local Window World Akron owner, Fred Moran, will also parachute out of an airplane during the opening ceremonies of the Canfield Fair.
