AUSTINTOWN TWP., Ohio - Authorities in the Valley are on the lookout for the driver of an S-U-V that struck a pedestrian in Austintown while attempting to flee from Mahoning County Sheriff's Deputies.

Law enforcement officials are on the lookout for a silver 2019 Chevy Suburban with front end damage and a missing passenger side-view mirror. The SUV has Alabama license plates.

Investigators believe the SUV is being driven by 23-year-old Brandon Ferrier, who is already wanted by the Northern Ohio Violent Crimes Task Force.

Deputies say the Suburban pulled away when deputies attempted to pull it over just before 6 a.m. Wednesday.

A pedestrian was struck, allegedly by the fleeing vehicle, on Allendale Avenue near Kirk Road just west of Meridian Road.

According to deputies, a man working on a Republic Services garbage truck was struck by the S-U-V when it attempted to pass the truck.

An ambulance was called to the scene. The victim, whose name hasn't bee released, is said to be in critical condition.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol has called an accident reconstruction team to the accident scene.

Ferrier is wanted for violating his parole in Mahoning County, numerous bad checks and fraud warrants in Pennsylvania, and a motor vehicle pursuit in Mill Creek MetroParks.

Ferrier is described as having blond hair, blue eyes, weighing 180 pounds, and being 5'09".

Those incidents happened from August to September of this year.
