Pennsylvania: Nearly 4,000 COVID cases reported over two days
Daily increases are now the highest they have ever been since the start of the pandemic.

Pennsylvania - Pennsylvania reported nearly 4,000 COVID-19 cases over two days.
On Monday, there were 2,060 new cases reported. On Sunday, there were 1,909 new cases reported. Daily increases are now the highest they have ever been since the start of the pandemic, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
There were five new deaths reported Sunday, and six new deaths reported Monday.
In total, there are 8,823 deaths and 211,996 cases statewide. Seventy-six percent of coronavirus patients have recovered.
Locally, Mercer County has 1,165 cases and 27 deaths. Lawrence County has 1,003 cases and 35 deaths.
