Barn, animals lost in Mercer County fire
Firefighters from eight fire departments braved cold temperatures and high winds as flames destroyed a barn in Mercer County, killing several animals inside.

FRENCH CREEK TWP., Pennsylvania - Firefighters from eight fire departments braved cold temperatures and high winds as flames destroyed a barn in Mercer County, killing several animals inside.
The Cochranton Volunteer Fire Department and Emergency Service was called out shortly before 12:30 a.m. Friday to a farm on the 4900 block of Sandy Lake Road in French Creek Township.
Firefighters arrived to find flames had engulfed the barn, so they worked to protect another barn and other buildings.
No one was injured, but investigators several animals were lost in the fire.
