The Youngstown State men's basketball team opened up Horizon League play with a win over Cleveland State, 94-69, at Beeghly Center Wednesday.

The win gave Jerrod Calhoun his 100th as head coach of the Penguins basketball program.

The Penguins shot over 50 percent from the field and out-rebounded the Vikings 43-30.

John Lovelace Jr. led YSU with 23 points, while Brett Thompson added 17.

The Penguins improve to 4-3 and play at Robert Morris Saturday at 2 p.m.
