A Lisbon man who was the target of a more than 24-hour long police search was booked into the Columbiana County Jail early Saturday.

Timothy Adkins, 47, has been arrested, according to updated information posted on the Lisbon Police Department's Facebook page.

Police issued an alert to local law enforcement agencies late Thursday to be on the lookout for Adkins, who they said may have been armed and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Officers say Timothy Adkins ran away as they were attempting to serve court papers Thursday afternoon at the Bryce Kendall House counseling center on State Route 154 just west of Route 11.

Police from several agencies began searching for Adkins who was last seen running into a nearby woods.

The Facebook post says the county sheriff, state troopers, Columbiana Police, and the Columbiana County Drug Task Force all took part in the search for Adkins.

Charges of aggravated menacing and inducing panic were filed against Adkins Friday in Columbiana County Municipal Court.

Last June, Adkins was sentenced to 90 days in jail after being convicted of domestic violence, obstructing official business, and telecommunications harassment.
