New Castle Police have arrested a suspect believed to be linked to the shooting that killed a man in a New Castle neighborhood on Sunday evening.

Angeline Masi-Carlucci was taken into custody and charged with criminal conspiracy to commit homicide of 39-year-old Omar Javarty Hakim, according to a Facebook post by the New Castle Police Department.

Masi-Carlucci is accused of transporting the suspected shooter to the area of the homicide just before it happened.

She was arraigned by Magistrate Melissa Amodie, processed and placed into the Lawrence County Jail without bond.

Detectives are still looking for the suspected shooter, according to the post.

Officers investigated a report of gunshots fired at around 7:30 p.m. around East Moody Avenue and Carlisle Street.

Police found a Chevy Tahoe SUV that had been shot up at the corner.  In the driver’s seat was Hakim's body.

There were six bullet holes through the driver’s door window.  The rear passenger window was also shattered.

Crime scene tape was stretched around the area, closing the intersection while police investigated.

Police ask anyone with information about the shooting to call dispatch at 724-656-9300 or detectives at 724-510-0125 or leave a tip on the New Castle Police Department’s website at www.newcastlepd.com.
