The Dean of Students with the Youngstown City School District is out of a job after the district did not renew his contract.

Chivas Whipple has been on leave since February, following a charge of domestic violence. This comes after an incident involving Whipple's daughter when he allegedly grabbed her by the shirt and slammed her into a car in February. Chivas also served as the East High School basketball coach.

The Dean of Students at Youngstown City Schools plead "not guilty" to the charge of domestic violence back in March.

While Whipple told officers he was disciplining his daughter for allegedly lying to him about where she was, police described the confrontation as "excessive in nature."

The court has ordered Whipple to engage in anger management as a condition of his bond.

According to Whipple's LinkedIn account, he has served as the Dean of Students since July 2021.
