A record low temperature was set at the start of the day Friday, with most early risers shivering through readings in the single digits outside. Saturday morning won't be as cold, although temperatures will still be well below freezing. Saturday afternoon will bring plenty of clouds with highs near the freezing mark once again. A passing flurry can't totally be ruled out.

The forecast for Sunday includes a higher chance for some light snow, especially in the afternoon. A fresh coating of snow will be a possibility, and a few untreated surfaces might develop a slick spot.  Much like Saturday, highs Sunday will be in the lower 30s.

A fresh injection of pure arctic air is on the way for the start of the new work week. Monday's chill will be accompanied by a decent amount of afternoon sunshine. Midweek will be quite a bit cloudier.  A chance for snow showers on Tuesday will be followed by a higher chance for precipitation on Wednesday. Snow could change to rain or mixed precipitation. It'll turn colder again in the wake of the midweek weathermaker.
