Snow will fly and temperatures will drop this week
Monday will be our quietest day of the week, but it will also be our coldest day of the season.
We finally surged above the freezing mark on Sunday, the first time we have risen above 32 degrees since the afternoon of November 30th.
Monday's temperatures will fall below freezing, and with high temperatures forecast to only reach the mid-20s, it will be our coldest day of the season and the coldest since February 21st. Expect some sunshine earlier in the day, with more of a milky sky throughout the afternoon.
Clouds will break for a time Monday evening, with clouds collecting again overnight. Temperatures will bottom out in the low teens on Tuesday morning.
Tuesday starts on the colder side with temperatures in the low teens, and light snow showers and flurries will be possible around midday and into the afternoon. Temperatures will hold nearly steady overnight in the low 30s and continue to rise into Wednesday.
A thump of wet snow will work in early Wednesday morning with snow showers mixing in with rain throughout the afternoon as temperatures rise to the upper 30s. A switchover to snow will be possible by the end of the day, with light snow continuing into Wednesday night.
The second half of the week will continue to feature the potential for snow, but it will be even colder as high temperatures sink to the upper 20s on Thursday and Friday and the low 20s this coming weekend.
