Allie's Sweet Tooth bakes thousands of cookies for annual Sharon sale

SHARON, Pa. - By 9:00 a.m. people were already lined up on State Street in Sharon — an hour before Allie's Sweet Tooth's Annual Christmas Cookie Sale even began.
They all wanted to get a look, and hopefully a taste, of the tens of thousands of cookies prepared by the shop.
The weekend sale features all of the shop's different cookie varieties including their Christmas specialties. All of them baked fresh. Alongside her employees, Owner Allison Adams works all night for two days to make sure everyone can bring home some of the sweet, holiday magic. All of that work results in 30,000 cookies each day.
"We plan this all year long so that we have enough time and people to schedule all the cookies and all these cookies were baked fresh over the last two days so we pull two all nighters and get everything done so everything is fresh for everybody for Christmas," Adams said.
The cookies were the star of the show but the event also involved a winter market that allowed small local businesses a space to sell their own goodies.
Adams said, along with selling her cookies, it is another joy in itself to help local vendors attract more business.
The cookie sale and winter market will also be open Sunday from 10:00 a.m until 4:00 p.m. at 47 E. State St. Sharon, PA, 16146.
