Beaver Township police rescue woman from partially submerged vehicle

BEAVER TWP., Ohio - Police in Beaver Township rescued a woman trapped in a vehicle partially submerged in water on New Year's Day.
According to a police report, officers were called to the intersection of Water's Edge Drive and Harbour Lights Boulevard shortly after 7:30 a.m. for the report of a vehicle in the water with a woman trapped inside.
Police found the vehicle behind a home on the 2600 block of Water's Edge Drive. According to the report, the vehicle was submerged up to the back doors, and the trunk was open.
Police say almost three-quarters of the woman's body was submerged. The woman told police she had been in the water since around 5 a.m.
Furthermore, the woman told police she was on her way to work at the time of the incident. Police say she could not answer any more questions due to being in a state of confusion and hypothermia.
The woman was taken to the hospital. Her current condition is unknown.
