Mercy Health opens new walk-in center in Warren

Mercy Health expanded its medical services in Trumbull County this week with the opening of a new walk-in care location.
The North Road Walk-In Care center is the 11th facility of its kind for the health system in the Mahoning Valley. Located at 1552 North Road SE, the clinic began seeing patients on Monday.
The facility operates from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday. It is designed to treat common health issues that do not require an emergency room visit, such as minor infections, respiratory illnesses, and small injuries.
Dr. James Kravec, chief clinical officer for Mercy Health in the region, said the goal of the new site is to help patients receive medical attention quickly. He noted that waiting several days for a traditional doctor’s appointment can be difficult for those who feel ill.
Unlike some specialized clinics, the walk-in visits are billed as standard primary care appointments. This often results in lower costs for patients compared to urgent care or emergency services.
The staff at the Warren location can provide physical examinations for school and sports, as well as treatment for the flu, rashes, and sprains.
With the addition of the Warren site, Mercy Health now provides walk-in care at the following locations:
- Austintown: 5533 Mahoning Ave.
- Canfield (Talsman): 61 Talsman Dr.
- Church Hill: 4694 Belmont Ave., Youngstown
